What we collect for a trial: your email address (to send the verification link and trial keys); a one-way hash of it (abuse prevention); the IP address and browser identifier from your request (rate limiting, fraud prevention); timestamps. After verification we store key identifiers and expiry — never the keys themselves.
Purpose: administering your trial, preventing abuse of free issuance, and license enforcement. Legal basis: your consent (the checkbox) and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
Retention: trial records are deleted automatically after [365] days (configurable). Verification attempts expire in 15 minutes.
Your rights (POPIA §§23–24): access, correction, and deletion — email [privacy contact] and we action it within a reasonable time.
Sharing: we do not sell personal information. Service providers used solely for delivery (e.g. SMTP host) process it under instruction.
